The 2013 'Tails of the Painted Cats' Summer Tour Continues With ‘Festival of Felines’ on Saturday, June 29

Cat Care Society's 2013 'Tails of the Painted Cats,' continues its Summer Tour with ‘Festival of Felines’ at its Lakewood shelter, 5787 W. 6th Avenue, on Saturday, June 29th, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a free family event for kids of all ages – see all of this year’s painted cats, pet the real kitties and enjoy refreshments. Plus, there will be face painting and special cat origami for the little ones.

In addition to ‘Festival of Felines,’ the remaining Tails of the Painted Cats Summer Tour events include:

* Through June 28th – see the Painted Cats at various Tennyson Street businesses ( hosted by the Berkeley District Merchants Association – link for complete information, plus other Metro Denver locations (for example, Broadway Betty is at PISMO Fine Art Glass in Cherry Creek North)

* July 11, 6 to 8 p.m. – Fascination St. Fine Art in Cherry Creek North, 315 Detroit St., Wine & Cheese Reception ($10 donation per person at the door)

* July 20, 5 to 9 p.m. – Pinehurst Country Club - 2013 Gala Dinner & Auction (advance tickets required) - the Painted Cats will be auctioned along with kitten paintings (, Tower of Wine selections and other fundraising games that include a 32” Flat Screen TV and Kindle HD Fire as prizes. Also the winner of Drawing Kitty Vincent Van Cat will be selected. Early bird ticket pricing for the Gala Dinner & Auction tickets ends June 15.

This year several of the cats have a “Buy It Now” price if you’re interested in securing your Painted Cat early (note: Buy It Now Cats remain on tour through the July 20th Gala). Advanced online bidding (including Buy It Now) is available at through Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at noon (MDT).
