CBSA Launches New “BioTalks” at BioWest 2014 in Denver; People Talking About Big, Bold Ideas

Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) is launching new “BioTalks” at BioWest this year. These are eight fast-paced presentations about the big and bold ideas in the Bioscience Industry. The announcement is made by CBSA President and CEO April Giles, who says, “This year we’ve added energy and excitement to our lineup with the new BioTalk segments during regular programming and the new C-Level Unplugged interviews on center stage in the Expo Hall. Further, we’re very excited about the number of high caliber keynote speakers at BioWest 2014, including FDA Commissioner Dr. Margaret Hamburg, Russell Slifer the newly appointed Director of the Rocky Mountain Region’s Satellite U.S. Patent and Trade Mark Office, CEO presentations, and the wide variety of products and services on display in the Expo Hall.”

The 2014 BioWest Conference and Expo, is September 10, at the Marriott City Center, 1701 California Street, Denver.

BioTalks are scheduled at both 10:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

In addition to BioTalk presentations, BioWest 2014 is also debuting two sessions of “C-Level Unplugged: Conversations with top level leadership.” The morning session, 9:20 – 9:35, will feature a fast-paced interview on the Exhibit Hall stage with Larry Gold, Chairman of the Board, SomaLogic. The afternoon session, 1:15 – 1:30 pm, features Shahriar (Shar) Matin, Chief Operating Officer of Spectranetics. Jim Wilson, partner, EY, will conduct the interview for both sessions during the conference.
