"Today’s stop at the Cat Care Society brings the painted cats together with their real-life animal friends for an afternoon of snacks, face-painting and kitty-inspired origami. 'It’s just a way that everyone can see them in one location, and it brings people into the shelter,' says Suellen Scott, development director at the Cat Care Society.
The Festival of the Felines runs today [Saturday] from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cat Care Society, 5787 West Sixth Avenue in Lakewood; it’s free and open to the public.
