Cat Care Society Volunteer Kay Higgins escorted handsome 6-year-old Murphy to 9News Petline9 this morning with Meteorologist Becky Ditchfield. Murphy, a black domestic shorthair, came to Cat Care Society in early October just in time to celebrate 'Back in Black' in November at the shelter. #BIB is a national program of the Best Friends Animal Society and CCS became a network partner of the Best Friends organization earlier this year.
For the month of November, all CCS black cats are part of the "Name Your Price" adoption special.
Murphy is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and tests negative for Fiv / FeLV. He is a large boy (17 lbs) and loves constant attention. He is a head butter and loves his head rubbed. Plus, he needs a lot of play to start losing some weight, but right now he just wants love.
This cutie has been traveling all month to promote his buddies at CAT CARE SOCIETY who are also looking for homes. He has a lot to say in the car on the way to Community Shares off-site expos, but has been very comfortable in every situation presented. Last week he saw a small yippie dog while visiting an Air Force base and simply retreated to a corner.
Murphy would like to be the star in his new indoor forever home. Please come in soon to meet Murphy and all his lucky black cat buddies at Cat Care Society.
