LifeScience Aurora: 'Anschutz community among those angling for venture funds'

"Of the more than 30 bioscience companies who presented their business plans to venture capitalists at a conference in Denver last week, several had some connection to the Anschutz Medical Campus. The 2011 Rocky Mountain Life Science Investor and Partnering Conference stretched over two days last week and local officials say it helped some local start-up companies connect with the venture capitalists they will need funding from to get their companies off the ground. 'The purpose is to get them out in front of venture capitalists from all over the country,' said Vicki Jenings, manager of business development at the Fitzsimons Life Science District."
