Quoting from Carrie Dow's posting today:"The Tails of the Painted Cats will make their artistic debut at the Lakewood Arts Council Gallery on Thursday, May 9, from 6:30 to 8 PM. Twenty-one decorated fiberglass cats will be featured in this third annual event...
...A special cat is also the prize for a public raffle. Named Vincent Van Cat, it was created by Lakewood artist and CCS Volunteer Coordinator Jane McFadden Dorsey. Inspired by her love of the famous painter, the cats features scenes of Van Gogh’s work, like Sunflowers, and Starry Night. Anyone who loves the Master will appreciate this wonderful sculpture. Tickets for the drawing are $10 and are sold from now until the gala. Purchase tickets from the CCS by calling 303-239-9680.
The gala dinner and auction will be held Saturday, July 20, at the Pinehurst Country Club from 5 to 9 PM. Tickets for individuals are only $75 until June 1. Tickets for couples are $150. Visit the CCS website to download a ticket request form or call 303-239-9680."
